Stross gallery stems from an idea by Ursula Stross. . Art plays a pivotal role in her own life therefore all her passions gravitate around it. For instance, she lived abroad around Europe, learning by exploring the most important collections of art. She decided to open her own space aiming to promote and support international artistic activities by determining the guidelines for the selection and the promotion of the artists chosen. Ursula Stross gallery represents both emerging and established artists, and actively participates in various international fairs and exhibitions. The artists Emmerich Weissenberger, Diana Deu Michael Maier, Maximilian Otte, Wolfgang Uranitsch, Elisabeth Payer and Markus Himberger concluded the year with photography, watercolors and black and white works in charcoal on paper.
With the new art project “Art saves the Sea” on Ibiza, Ursula Stross and her team are making a significant contribution to the environment and sustainability.
Quote ... “Never again may a fish die in the sea from plastic waste”
The aim is to donate part of the sales proceeds from sculptures to an institution in order to get the microplastic out of the oceans. The preparations are in full swing, the selection of the sculptures and the preparation of the property, the search for sponsors for the huge project and above all to bring the spirit into the consciousness of the people.
The start will be celebrated with the exhibition opening in September 2021 on a 2 hectare area. In the Openair Gallery on Ibiza, the interest is directed towards young dynamic international artists who erect larger-than-life sculptures with the focus and awareness of the people on "ZeroPlastic" in the seas.
Here Ursula Stross sees herself entirely as an eco-activist and calls on artists from the field of sculpture to make a contribution to a better world and to create works of art, sculptures and installations with the thematic content. The aim is to make a sustainable contribution to a better society with a more sustainable lifestyle and thus to increase awareness.
In the open-air gallery on Ibiza, the artists get the perfect stage for their sculptures and works of art to perform internationally.
